We had a successful work day today in Dog Kennel Hill Woods. Eight volunteers spent a few hours on various tasks including:
- raking and clearing up all of the waste material around the newly laid hedge
- adding larger twigs and branches to the dry hedge in the woods
- lengthening the dry hedge
- edging the path in the wood to prevent people from encroaching on the woodland
- Removing some of the Alexanders form the orchard glade
We collected the green waste into two huge builder’s bags and left them in the car park for the council team to collect. There was so much of it that we had to stand in the bag and jump up and down on it!
