Last night was the AGM of the Friends of Dog Kennel Hill Wood. for a change of scenery we met in The Hoopers pub on Ivanhoe Road. We hadn’t realised that the pub opened especially for us and the landlord was very welcoming, offering us extra heaters in the snug bar.
Fifteen people attended and we voted for who should be on the management commitee:
Jasia Warren: Chair
Dermot McInerney: Secretary
Mike Hutton: Treasurer
Dan Child: Wildlife Officer
Jonathan Coe: Environmental Officer
The Chair and Treasurer gave a report about the last year’s activities.
There then followed a general meeting which was attended by Pippa Krishnan from Southwark Council. She talked through the most recent work in DKH Open Space and discussed plans for the future. One of the Friends pointed out that the management plan was now out of date and Pippa agreed to look into getting a new one written up.
