Today the friends met to pick litter in the wood and park. Amongst the items found were a BB gun and a vintage fireplace surround! And there was the usual array of deflated footballs and Sainsburys detritus.
It was a roasting hot day and we had a chance to fill in our forms for the Big Butterfly Count. We saw:
- 2x Small White
- 2x Speckled Wood
- 1x Red Admiral
Looking at the results it seems as though lots of people in the local area took part – perhaps this is due to the poster we put up in DKH Open Space noticeboard?!
