The hole in the fence to the wood that appeared a couple of weeks ago was fixed the other night. Luckily there had been no damage to the fence, it was simply missing a couple of bolts. I managed to pull the flap back over and slip a couple of shiny new nuts through the old holes. It was all over in a couple of minutes, under the cover of darkness.
It appeared as if the gap in the fence had been made on purpose by somebody local. (Who else would bother to take a spanner out with them?) Whoever it was is very likely to do it again so it would be useful if everyone could keep an eye and ear out. There is a real danger we will loose a large swath of the woodland if a new path is made across the whole wood. The last path grew to being three metres wide.
